Terms:

  • Flexible & Remote

  • Up to 8 days per month

  • Consultancy contract ending 1 October 2025.

I have an exciting consultancy vacancy for a Research Assistant working directly with me.

I have been asked to evaluate a training programme by NHS England aiming to train the wider health and care workforce to provide appropriately adjusted care for people with a learning disability and autistic people to reduce health inequality. The Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism was made mandatory (The Health and Care Act 2022) for all service providers registered with the Care Quality Commission.

The pilot involves providing this training to pre-qualified nursing and midwifery students of Bucks New University. The research project aims to measure the impact of this training. The ultimate objective is to advise NHS Engand as to whether the training can be provided at pre-qualification stage and as part of the students' qualification curriculum.

The key tasks will involve research, administration and data analysis, writing and carrying out some fieldwork in the form of remote interviews and focus groups. Some administrative work will also be required.

To apply email Theo.Gavrielides@Bucks.ac.uk with a short statement and your CV. I will be carrying out interviews between 13-15 January.
